Later the Liberty Dollar was also minted in Gold, Platinum, and Copper. Referred to as a (round), the Liberty Dollar is intended to circulate just like any money.

The $1 Peace Dollar is minted in pure copper. It is 39 mm in diameter, the same size as the one ounce Silver Liberty that is larger than a Silver Dollar. The obverse features Ms. Liberty "PEACE" above her head in place of Liberty and is dated 2008. Another Historic Mintage.
